MATCH REPORT

Sunday 8th September v EK Milan at Toryglen Sports Centre

 1-4 (0-2)

David Stewart; Robert Shimmons (Calum Colquhoun), Allan Mackenzie (Danny McFarlane), Allan Lennox (Stuart Waugh), Alan Galindo (c); Gary Duncan (Alistair Wilson), Ross Dunbar, Craig McKenna, Ally McNaught (Adam Walker); David Blair (Andy Dick), Scott Macrae (Michael Cameron)

Our first game of the new season against opponents, after our excellent Memorial Game for Martin.

EK Milan were the visitors and, as ever, it was a hard game against them.

A squad of eighteen turned up, which was very encouraging, but we struggled against fitter opponents and were two down at the interval.

Ross Dunbar pulled a goal back with a header from a corner early in the second half and David Stewart kept us in the game with several excellent saves.

Tired legs in the second half meant we lost two late goals but not before we were awarded a penalty after Craig had been brought down by the keeper.

New dad Craig stepped up to take the kick but the keeper made a great save as the ball headed into the top right hand corner.

A disappointing result but it was good to be back playing again.

Young Harrison McKenna comes along to his first game (and sees his daddy miss a penalty !)
