Our reward for our penalty shoot win over Hearts in the IFA Scottish Cup was an away game against Livingston GS, current British champions.
An early start for this game in Bathgate and a strong, but small, squad was available.
The weather conditions were dreadful with driving wind and snow making football very difficult indeed.
However we battled hard and took the lead after sixteen minutes when Ray fired home from 25 yards, although the keeper looked at fault.
Livi were having all the ball as the blizzard blew towards our goal and they equalised with a shot from the edge of the area in 35 minutes.
One all at half time then GS took the lead early in the second half with a strike from outside the area.
Sebo levelled things up when he bundled in a corner from a couple of yards but Livi raced up the pitch straight away to make it 3-2.
Davie Stewart was sent off in the final minute for a professional foul, before Dave Black scored Livi's 4th in injury time.
An excellent, gutsy display from Queen's against a very good Livi side. Thanks to the GS boys for hosting an excellent game.
We headed onto Methil/Leven afterwards for the QP game against East Fife which didn’t quite have the same excitement, being a goalless draw, but the pubs were good !
