Saturday 16th September 2017 v Internazioswally
Toryglen Regional Football Centre, kick off 10am

Last season's results v Internazioswally
League home 1-3 (Muir)
League away 4-4 (Dunsmore, Lennox, McLean, Galindo)

On Saturday we host Internazioswally (Airdrie) at Toryglen in an IFA league game, kick off 10am.

As we look forward to this huge game we took time out to ask our rampaging right back Fraser Anderson some pertinent questions.

How has the season been going for you?

“It's been going well. Pre-season was as tough as ever, but it's showing it's worth when we get the ball down and play in games. On a personal note it's going well too. With the plethora of other right backs in the squad I'm happy the gaffer has me in the team!”

You're nearing 50 appearances for the Club, what's been your favourite game so far?

“I'm a big fan of seeing us grind out results when we're up against it, so I'd have to go for Fir Park Corner away last season. Absolutely backs to the wall with Gee keeping us in the game, clearances off the line from myself and then Lenny toepoking in a winner with the last kick of the game. Brilliant to see us going right to the final whistle!”

A feature of your game is your marauding runs forward, and back, I take it you love running about?

“Haha! Aye you could say that! I suppose that's a compliment. I like to get myself forward to help the team out, and it's always good to get among the goals & assists. Obviously being a defender first & foremost I've usually got to then run back so we're not left short. It's a tough shift some weeks!”

Tell us a bit about your beard which has been described as remarkable, crazy, bizarre, whit ?, and, by nobody I can think of, really good looking.

“Believe it or not the beard has a strict regime to keep it in check. Washing, conditioning, trimming, oiling, brushing... it's a real undertaking.”

So you didn't grow it to look like one of the QPFC Scottish Cup winning players of the past?

“Of course. With the 150th anniversary of the club, we've all got to pay tribute in our own way. Some folk buy the blue home kit, I opted to show my appreciation through facial hair!”

So far you've scored five goals for the Club, any of them memorable?

Some real contenders here, scoring from the halfway line against Troon was special...but I'd have to go for two weeks ago against Dunfermline at Loch Leven! Tremendously worked move down the right. Sebo knocking the ball down to RD who played it into space for me on the overlap, initially the move was stopped by a great tackle from their winger. But no. Not this time. Ross McG following in & nicked it off the defender, then played the ball in to my feet. I took one touch then pinged it across the 'keeper and into the far top corner. It should be noted that Ray was standing completely unmarked in the box and would have had a tap in, but where's the fun in that eh?
